Social networks are a great way to not only keep in touch with our project, but also directly speak to those involved.
Used to publish frequently updated content such as blogentries, news headlines, and podcasts in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a feed, web feed, or channel) contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text.
Facebook is a global social networking website. Users can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. Additionally, users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region.
Myspace is another social networking site. Project Green Jungle utilizes Myspace to post blogs, updates on our project, and keep in touch with other nonprofit programs.
Twitter is an update service we use to give real time updates from our project. We even utilize Twitter to update from the field during our Earth Week activities in Costa Rica.
