The Pet industry is a multi-billion dollar per year industry, and the reptile and amphibian trade is a large and ever-increasing part of it. For too long the reptile industry has been reactive to blanket legislation, and issues effecting our hobby.
We need to be proactive and attempt to create an ecologically responsible option for the pet industry.
CB2 is our answer to that.
CB Squared stands for Captive Breeding/Capacity Building.
Through captive breeding programs strategically located in biodiverse hotspots in the world, at-risk indigenous populations are able to make substantially more revenue than traditional export agriculture (Bananas, pineapples, beef, etc.), on quite a bit less land. The revenue generated goes into a community co-op fund that creates capacity building programs such as medical clinics, education grants, public health seminars, and more.

On recent trips to Costa Rica to find ideal animals for captive breeding we have found some great animals! Check out the slideshow below (*All photos copyright, James Opdahl).
