What Does Lionfish Taste Like

The filets are very easy to scale, with very small scales that come off almost in your hand after the fish is dead. Once they are cooked, deboning them is as easy as pulling on either side, the filet falls right off. Cooking is as easy as pan frying, which gives you a delicate white meat which tastes like a cross between grouper, snapper, and crab meat.

Lionfish Harvest Moving Forward

Things are moving along in the fight against the Caribbean Lionfish invasion. Our contact with the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association) is working hard to create a national media campaign to raise awareness of the growing impact of this invasive species.
