Many articles and blogs are written due to bad experiences of past visits to Puerto Viejo, Limon and Cahuita National Park.
Now, however, there is a new program called Un Caribe mas Seguro, started by local business owners, members of the chamber of tourism, residents (both Costa Rican and foreign). The program continues to grow, and by everyone working together, those who love living in this Caribbean Paradise can do so safely. So travel to the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica and relax, enjoy, and experience our amazing nature and local culture.
