May Trip to Kachabri

We recently went up to Kachabri to pick up some baskets for Caribeans Coffee, and to introduce Toto from Redfrogteam.net to the village.  Kachabri is the village that we are working with on our reptile and amphibian captive breeding project.

Jairo and Dignah are the two in the village of around 35 that are working with us on the project.  While there this trip, Jairo gave the medicinal plant tour while Toto and I went off up the road to look for frogs.  I am quite happy to say that I came back with a few sitings of Dart frogs, and a wonderful exposure to a poisonous plant that made my skin itch and break out in a rash all over my body.

I am quite sure this is the same stuff that got James, as it was in the same location.  Too bad.  I think we had him convinced he had been cursed by the shaman do to a bow and arrow purchase.

Check out the photos below and let us know what you think.
