Red Frog Team

Living and working in a caribbean coastal town has it’s advantages of course, and one of the biggest is having La Amistad World Heritage Site Directly under our feet!  Having all this lush vegetation and wildlife in our backyards draws on the conservationist, outdoorsman, wildlife and plant nut in all of us.
It is that draw that pulls in people like us, and allows paths to cross.  Normally we may never meet someone from a continent away, however here we have common goals.  Such is the case as our chance meeting yesterday with Toto from the Red Frog Team in Germany.
RedFrogTeam.net is a group of individuals who are looking to help in the sensible conservation of wildlife in Costa Rica.
They point out that most problems that wildlife encounters are related to interactions with humans.  To that end, they hope to breed and reintroduce animals such as the strawberry dart frog (Oophaga pumilio).  The team is not limited to the Strawberry Dart Frogs, including sloths, monkeys, coatis, and more.
So just an introduction of these folks to you, we hope to continue dialog and explore future possiblities with them.
